Hello. My name is Pam Sheppard. I became a professional therapist in 1973 and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1981. I am ordained by a mainline denomination where I served as both a pastor and an evangelist for 25 years. I have not been affilated with any organized church system since 2004.
I've developed a unique training program that I call "SEW." SEW stands for Spiritual Edification Workshop. It is really a "train the trainer" type of model. In short, we train Christians to mentor other Christians. A mentor is just another word for "shepherd." A shepherd feeds and tends the flock. To feed is to bring truth that will enlighten. To tend is to care for and protect the sheep from the wolves.
Our goal is to train mentors who in turn will each "shepherd" online--by email, chat, phone, teleconferences, webcambs, videos--- 10 other Christians from around the world. Once we have trained enough mentors or "shepherds," then we will only train the mentors. Trained mentors shall continue to care for the flock. Some mentors are prepared to also become trainers. We need lots of trainers and lots of mentors to prepare for the endtime "falling away."
This is not a volunteer program. You will pay us $50 a month to train you and then you will be paid from the monthly registrations of those whom you have served.
How many mentors will be enough? Only God Himself knows. Perhaps I am looking for you.
THE VISION:
CHRISTIANS ASSEMBLING TOGETHER WITHOUT CONCRETE WALLS, SECTS OR DENOMINATIONS
We need to take advantage of what the Internet provides: a global gathering of believers on Jesus Christ where people come together to build relationships, grow in their Christian walk, encourage one another and in the process bring glory to God. We are looking for elders who can mentor other believers individually and in small groups of teleconferences. For info on the substance of our training program, click here.
The Mission: EACH ONE MENTOR TEN (This is not volunteer work. Mentors are paid 75% of each mentee's registration.
Small Groups are a necessary component to 3 purposes: fellowship, study, and guidance. First through the use of free teleconference services, we aim to establish several small groups of believers on the web. It is in the more intimate and informal setting of a Small Group that believers can show their love of Christ to each other. Small Groups help people to grow in their walk with Christ, because members encourage and reinforce each other's Christian service.
Small Groups are important to encourage and help people to to find new mentors and help establish new groups and to enable the small groups to implement the 3 purposes. Christian mentors provide encouragement, training and resources, mentor new group leaders, publicize small groups and hold Small Group events.
WE SEEK CHRISTIAN ELDERS TO BE MENTORS, PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT STUCK TO AN ORGANIZED CHURCH MODEL. If you are interested, complete the form and we will call you. If you would like, give us a call at 518-915-1707.
