The concepts in this intensive model are derived from the SEW Program and the RIC Program. The theme is based upon the premise that the offender who is a substance abuser will continue criminal behavior unless he has a change of heart. The heart is defined from the Greek word "cardia" which means the mind, the thoughts, the perceptions, feelings and emotions. This confrontational model is used in counseling to raise the threshold of pain by presenting truth about the client so that he or she can become teachable and motivated to sustantive and asting change.
RACIAL AND CULTURAL DIVERSITY
tThis model exposes how anchoring one's own self worth and identity in one's ancestral or cultural history is an open doorway to racial hatred and prejudice----a dangerous doorway to one's spiritual, mental and emotional health. Various mythis held by one race toward another arew explored. The primary theme of this model is that man is a three part being: spirit, sould and body. Pure equality and empowerment is obtainable in the spirit through Jesus Christ.
SMALL GROUP FELLOWSHIPS
As the Lord gathers in the sheep of his remnant church, I believe that small group fellowships shall play a vibrant, growing role where people come together to build relationships, grow in their Christian walk, encourage one another and in the process bring glory to God. Course content includes the do's and the don'ts of participating in a small group fellowship, and how to avoid the pitfalls of leadership, authority. system building and false doctrine.
REJECTION AND RENEWAL
Imparting the spirit of rejection into a human soul is a strong demonic strategy. Understanding the mechanisms of rejection and knowing that it is never, and I repeat, never warranted or earned are the most fundamental keys to safeguarding your self esteem and sense of self worth. This is a choice. In individual and group counseling, the client will be taught how to use his will to make a choice about how he is going to understand the messages of rejection he is sent daily , and how he is going to, or not going to, integrate these messages into his spirit.
Clients struggling with rejection as a result of a divorce, childhood abuse/neglect, discrimination, repeated failures, or any other acts of betrayal need counseling that most effectively applies the principles outlined in my 3 books. Once the client is counselt to face his fears, express and share his experience, no matter how shameful, the demonic doorway for bitterness and rebellion caused by rejection is closed and locked down.
Both an individual and a group counseling model, sessions are divided into 3 parts: the Problem, the Cause, and the Empowerment. In the first part, the clients share their problems and personal experiences. In the causal section, the participants are asked key questions like "how, what and why." The goal is to raise consiousness as to the cause of abuse, feelings of guilt and other concerns the participants might have. In the empowerment section, the members share ideas and seek solutions to the problems they have and brainstorm ways to chage the systems that cause the problems. Topics include: 1)exploring abusive behavior, 2) Why do men get away with volence against women; 3)understanding shame and guilt, 4)the dysfunctional family 5) sexuality and unhealthy soul ties, 6)male/female roles and the Adam's Rib Syndrome, 7) personality types and more! Emphasis is placed upon the spiritual principles of divine love, compassion, understanding, tolerance and forgiveness through the appropriate management of bitterness, anger, fear and rebellion. Excerpts and chapters from the following books are used as points of study and reference. War on the Saints, by Jessie Penn Lewis, The Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee, The Making of a Prophet, To Curse the Root, and Faces of the Religious Demon.
